Transfer is same-platform only.
Keep the demo save installed, update the full game, and accept the carry-over prompt. All demo save slots transfer together, and those transferred slots cannot switch to Death Game Mode.
Normal transfer process
- Keep your Echoes of Aincrad demo save data on the device.
- Install or update the full game to the latest version.
- Launch the full version and accept the prompt asking to carry over trial-version data.
- Review the imported slots before deleting any demo data.
If you rejected the prompt
The prompt does not automatically return on later launches after “Do not carry over” is confirmed. According to Bandai Namco, you can trigger the process again by deleting all full-game save slots from the save-data selection screen and then creating a new save file.
Do not delete the demo save. The recovery procedure concerns full-game slots. The original demo data must remain available for the transfer.
If the transfer option does not appear
- Confirm that the demo and full game are installed under the same platform account.
- Apply the latest full-game update; the official guide says transfer remains possible even if the game was first launched before updating.
- Check that the demo save still exists on the device or in the expected platform storage.
- If the prompt was previously rejected, use the full-game slot recovery process above.
What to check after import
Because every demo slot transfers together, open the save selection screen and confirm the expected characters and progress before cleaning up old files. Continue from a copied slot only after verifying the weapon setup, inventory, and current quest state survived as expected.
Important restrictions
- Transfer works only between the same platform.
- All demo save slots are carried over together.
- A transferred save cannot be changed to Death Game Mode.
- If Death Game Mode is unlocked, it can be selected when creating a later save file.
- The full release may differ from the demo in some specifications.
