Keep Stamina available for defense, spend SP only after a safe opening, use checkpoints whenever the route offers them, and do not enter the next named encounter with an empty Item Pouch.
- 01

- 02
Defend or reposition, then use one short punish.
- 03
Recover Stamina and SP before repeating the loop.
Boss order in the verified Demo quest route
The localized quest objectives name the encounters below across Prologue, Iori's Request, Within the Shadows and The Violet Fencer I. The final target in The Violet Fencer II remains unresolved in the current export, so this page does not invent its name.
| Boss | Quest | Safe first plan |
|---|---|---|
| Sentry Golem | Opening ruin | Preserve Stamina, learn the safe side of each committed attack, and punish only after recovery. |
| Illfang the Kobold Lord | End of Prologue | Clear immediate pressure, avoid spending all SP early, and keep healing available for the final sequence. |
| Snowcap Boar | Iori's Request | Treat the charge as a positioning test and activate the nearby Safety Area after the fight. |
| Shrewman | Within the Shadows | Keep enough resources for the Glenspore Grizzly that follows in the same quest route. |
| Glenspore Grizzly | Within the Shadows | Use a reliable short punish instead of a long animation while learning its reach. |
| Dire Strife Wolf | The Violet Fencer I | Reach Teardrop Cave prepared for mobility and pressure, then activate the cave terminal. |
Sentry Golem
Use the first Golem fight to learn commitment. Keep enough Stamina to escape after one or two attacks, watch which movement exposes a safe side or rear angle, and avoid chaining a long Sword Skill until the boss has clearly finished. If the player is repeatedly hit at the end of a combo, shorten the punish instead of trying to deal more damage.
Illfang the Kobold Lord
Illfang ends the Prologue objective chain, so arrive with recovery still available. Clear nearby pressure before tunneling on the boss, keep the camera where both Illfang and immediate threats are visible, and preserve one Sword Skill for a real stagger or recovery window. The final part of a long fight is the wrong moment to discover that all SP was spent during the opening.
Field bosses after the Prologue
Snowcap Boar, Shrewman, Glenspore Grizzly and Dire Strife Wolf appear as named objectives in the following Demo quests. They are connected by travel and preparation steps, so checkpoint discipline matters as much as the individual fight. Activate the northwest Safety Area during Iori's Request and the Teardrop Cave terminal after Dire Strife Wolf.
Boss preparation checklist
- Upgrade the weapon you already use rather than entering with an untested high-rarity drop.
- Equip one fast skill, one control option and one larger punish.
- Carry HP recovery and leave enough Item Pouch flexibility for the route.
- Use the partner command that creates recovery space when Stamina or SP is low.
- Activate every available Safety Area or Warp Terminal before exploring a side path.
Prologue boss FAQ
Which bosses are confirmed by the quest data?
Sentry Golem, Illfang, Snowcap Boar, Shrewman, Glenspore Grizzly and Dire Strife Wolf are named in the current localized objectives.
Why is there no final Violet Fencer II boss name?
The current export leaves that target unresolved. The guide keeps the objective generic until a reliable localized name can be tied to the versioned route.
Should I use every Sword Skill as soon as it is available?
No. Preserve SP for the opening that matches the skill's job and keep Stamina available for the boss's response.
