The quickest close-range class, trading shield safety and reach for frequent attacks and mobility. It cannot use a shield. The main trade-off is short reach and no shield make poor spacing more expensive.
How the Dagger class plays
Dagger attacks quickly at close range, cannot use a shield and can gain thrown-blade options through certain Sword Skills. Its practical defensive plan is straightforward: Stay mobile, leave the enemy's active hitbox and re-enter only for a short, controlled sequence.
Short reach and no shield make poor spacing more expensive. That does not make the class weak; it defines the problem the rest of the build must solve. Evaluate the class through repeatable openings, SP and Stamina management, and the defensive response you can perform under pressure.
- You are comfortable defending with movement rather than a shield.
- Long animation commitments feel restrictive.
- You enjoy repeated short openings instead of one large punish.
- You lose track of enemy hitboxes at close range.
- A boss gives only rare openings that reward one larger hit.
A repeatable Dagger combat loop
- 01
Approach from outside the active hitbox instead of standing directly in front.
- 02
Use a short attack sequence and preserve the exit.
- 03
Evade the response, then re-enter from a safer angle.
- 04
Use a ranged or longer-reaching Sword Skill only after confirming its behavior in-game.
This sequence is a starting discipline, not a fixed combo. Enemy behavior, difficulty, partner choice and equipped skills can change the right timing. Run it against a familiar encounter first so only the weapon decision changes.
Dagger build checks
- Prioritize an escape after every short chain.
- Carry skills that cover different ranges or commitments.
- Do not infer an elemental effect from a weapon's lore description.
- Test SP recovery because frequent skill use can empty the bar quickly.
Base ATK, upgrade costs, drop locations and exact skill multipliers are not present in the current public extraction. Check those values in the running game instead of treating a weapon's lore description as a combat effect.

Dagger FAQ
Can this class use a shield?
No. Dagger gives up shield access, so spacing, movement and timing are the defensive plan.
Is Dagger the best weapon?
No class is best for every player and encounter. Dagger is strongest as a fit when your goal is aggressive evasion, short chains and rapid repositioning. Use the weapon fit finder to compare that goal with the other five classes.
Which individual Dagger weapon should I use?
Start with the weapon you can enhance and whose scaling and EX-Mods support the stats you already use. The Demo descriptions above identify records and lore, but they are not a substitute for current in-game ATK, upgrade level or effect values.
